Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to document client histories, issues, and treatment goals.

• Evaluate and assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, providing tailored recommendations.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with clients' unique needs, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that foster trust and support among participants.

• Monitor client progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and case managers, to create holistic intervention strategies.

• Stay informed on mental health trends and research to provide clients with accurate and effective treatment options.

• Assist clients and their families in managing mental health challenges, aiming to empower them in their recovery journeys.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse client base, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, or substance use disorders. This role is pivotal in delivering culturally competent care tailored to the unique backgrounds, experiences, and expectations of our clientele. You will be a crucial figure in helping clients achieve their mental health goals and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for efficient client management.
\n
• In-depth understanding of various mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and recovery principles.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, paired with strong interpersonal abilities that demonstrate empathy and understanding.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor in a community health setting.

• Experience managing clients with comorbid physical and psychological conditions is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with the guidelines set by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and their best practice standards.

• Knowledge of the pharmacological treatments and their impact on mental health patients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role is competitive, ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
