Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, offering you the flexibility to manage your work-life balance while still engaging meaningfully with clients. You will operate within a supportive and collaborative team environment, utilizing modern telehealth technology to connect with patients effectively. Your work schedule will primarily follow a Monday to Friday routine from 9 AM to 5 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments, understanding the unique challenges faced by older adults, including cognitive decline and physical health issues.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that address patients’ mental health conditions while considering their overall well-being and social circumstances.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions through individual and family therapy sessions aimed at improving mental health outcomes for elderly patients.

• Work closely with geriatric psychiatrists and other allied health professionals to provide integrated and coordinated care.

• Provide crisis intervention and psychological support during urgent mental health situations involving elderly individuals.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health disorders and the treatment options available, guiding them to access pertinent community resources.

• Maintain Accurate and secure patient documentation, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and legal standards.

• Participate in weekly team meetings and case consultations to enhance care delivery and foster professional growth.

• Stay current with the latest research, developments, and best practices in geriatric psychiatry and mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will primarily focus on the geriatric population, addressing a wide range of psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, dementia-related disorders, and adjustment issues commonly encountered in older adults. Your expertise will be critical in making a positive difference in the lives of elderly patients, many of whom may experience isolation and complex emotional challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits\n
