Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, utilizing various evaluation tools and methodologies to determine the mental health needs of children and adolescents.

• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and effective care is possible.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and family therapy, to tackle a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, and behavioral concerns.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in the recovery process.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices and advancements in mental health care for children and adolescents.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, ranging from behavioral issues to anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Your role will be vital in promoting the general health and well-being of our young patients, ensuring they receive comprehensive, compassionate care tailored to their developmental stages.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, clinical psychology, or a related field, from an accredited institution.

• License as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or equivalent in California; associates licenses cannot be accepted due to Medicare billing restrictions.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, as well as familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in delivering therapeutic services to children and adolescents in both individual and family settings.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with young patients and their families.

• Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology for documentation and treatment planning.

• Experience working in a telehealth setting is highly desirable, demonstrating an ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to a virtual platform.
