Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Elysium, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Managing a diverse caseload of clients, including adolescents and young adults, and establishing positive therapeutic relationships built on trust and professional boundaries.

• Conducting regular check-ins with clients to monitor their progress, discuss upcoming appointments, and plan for discharge when appropriate.

• Creating and implementing detailed, person-centered treatment plans tailored to each client’s specific needs and goals.

• Maintaining meticulous documentation and up-to-date progress notes for each client, while adhering to legal and ethical treatment standards.

• Conducting thorough intake assessments to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for new clients.

• Delivering individualized therapy sessions, as well as participating in team supervision to promote professional growth and clinical excellence.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to enhance overall patient care and coordinate treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate for this position will be skilled in working with youth and young adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges. Our clients may present with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and significant life transitions. It is essential for our clinicians to foster a supportive and non-judgmental environment that encourages clients to communicate openly about their experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to meet credentialing requirements for clinical practices.

• A minimum of one year of experience working directly with psychiatric patients and/or individuals with substance use disorders.

• Proven experience with assessment, diagnosis, and the delivery of both individual and group therapy.

• Basic proficiency in computer skills, including the ability to maintain electronic records efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in a telehealth environment is highly desirable, as is familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Candidates with additional certifications or specializations in youth counseling, trauma-informed care, or addiction therapy will be strongly favored.

Compensation and Benefits\n
