Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews, case documentation, and assessments from the initial consultation through treatment completion.

• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans that address the specific mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities suited to diverse client needs.
\n
• Monitor client progress regularly and adjust treatment plans based on evolving needs and therapeutic outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical staff, to coordinate care and interventions.
\n
• Follow up with clients who have recent hospital admissions and integrate hospital recommendations into ongoing treatment plans.
\n
• Identify and develop strategies to prevent behaviors that may hinder recovery and provide guidance to family members and caregivers in managing challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on a diverse range of clients, including those facing crisis situations, chronic mental health issues, emotional disturbances, and addiction disorders. Our population is comprised of individuals from various backgrounds, seeking support for challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Your input will be vital in guiding them towards lasting recovery and improved quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for successful documentation and client interaction.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of prior experience as a licensed mental health counselor, providing therapy to individuals and groups.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, especially AVATAR, and a solid understanding of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience addressing both psychological and physical health conditions, especially in relation to addiction disorders.
\n
• Demonstrated capacity for exceptional empathy, judgment, and clinical insight in client interactions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
