Work Environment

The physical therapy department operates in a dynamic and supportive onsite setting, focusing on personalized patient interactions in a community-oriented clinic. You will be directly involved in delivering care to patients who require orthopedic rehabilitation, utilizing cutting-edge equipment and techniques. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, fostering a balanced professional life, with potential for overtime depending on patient needs. We emphasize teamwork, so you will collaborate closely with other health professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations of patients to determine their goals, needs, and functional limitations.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans using a variety of techniques tailored to individual patient requirements.
• Administer therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and neuromuscular re-education.
• Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and the importance of adhering to their therapy regimes.
• Monitor patient progress through regular assessments, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment strategies meticulously in our Electronic Medical Record system (EMR), such as WebPT.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians and rehabilitation specialists, to deliver comprehensive care.
• Participate in community outreach and wellness initiatives aimed at promoting health and preventive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise will address a wide array of issues, from post-operative rehabilitation to preventative care and lifestyle modifications. The diversity of our patient population necessitates the ability to adapt treatment strategies based on varying ages, backgrounds, and health statuses, ensuring each individual receives tailored care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher (Master of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy qualifications are preferred).
• A valid Florida Physical Therapist License without any board actions or disciplinary actions.
• Possession of a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number or willingness to obtain one prior to employment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescriptions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation purposes.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EMR systems; experience with WebPT is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple patients efficiently, aiming for 2-3 patients per hour, while maintaining personalized care.
• Proven track record of developing community-engaged health and wellness initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
