Work Environment

The successful Orthopedic Physical Therapist will work in a modern outpatient facility located in the vibrant city of Saint Petersburg, Florida. This role requires an onsite presence, allowing for direct interaction with patients and collaboration with healthcare colleagues. The work environment is designed to promote productivity and encourage team synergy while focusing on exceptional client outcomes. Our clinic operates from Monday to Friday, typically between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, ensuring a balanced professional schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients with functional limitations and orthopedic conditions to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based practice to implement targeted treatment protocols that address the specific needs of each patient.
• Engage in continuous communication with patients, providing education on treatment modalities, rehabilitation exercises, and self-care strategies.
• Document all patient encounters and treatment progress in a precise and timely manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and fostering continuity of care.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare providers to coordinate care and modify treatment plans based on the evolving needs of patients.
• Proactively identify barriers to therapy and actively participate in initiatives to enhance patient access to services.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in physical therapy and participate in relevant professional development activities and training sessions.
• Facilitate discharge planning and follow-up care to ensure patient success and long-term wellness upon completion of therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with orthopedic patients who may be recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or seeking to improve mobility and strength after injury or illness. Our patient demographic is diverse, and we strive to create personalized rehabilitation experiences, focusing on their unique healthcare journeys and desired goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in the field of orthopedic physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Current CPR certification is required to ensure safety and preparedness in emergency situations.

Compensation and Benefits
