Work Environment

This role is situated in our state-of-the-art outpatient office in a vibrant community in Saint Petersburg, Florida. The facility is designed to enhance patient experiences with modern treatment equipment and comfortable therapy spaces. You will work alongside another physical therapist and a physical therapy assistant (PTA) in a collaborative and supportive environment, allowing for a rich exchange of ideas and therapeutic practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to identify patients' specific goals and requirements accurately.
• Manage a personalized patient caseload, treating one patient per hour to provide focused, high-quality care.
• Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans that address a wide spectrum of orthopedic conditions.
• Utilize cost-effective therapies to enhance patients' range of motion and mobility, while reducing the need for medications or surgical interventions.
• Incorporate various treatment modalities, including manual therapy techniques and exercise protocols to optimize patient outcomes.
• Develop individual fitness and wellness programs tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Empower patients by motivating them through their treatment plans to maximize recovery and functional independence.
• Encourage a healthy lifestyle by promoting strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through structured therapy interventions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and integrated treatment approaches.
• Regularly assess treatment outcomes and adjust plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Thoroughly document all aspects of patient care in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus is primarily on patients with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain, and mobility limitations. You will engage with a diverse clientele, ranging from young athletes to seniors, each with unique therapeutic needs and goals.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A clean professional record with no prior board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong knowledge and experience in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Prior involvement in patient education and community outreach programs related to physical therapy.
• Experience with innovative therapy techniques, patient assessment tools, or new treatment methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
