Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments that explore patients' trauma histories to design effective treatment pathways.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group therapy settings.

• Facilitate therapy sessions that provide patients with coping strategies and promote healing through both emotional processing and skill-building.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless, integrated care aligned with each patient's needs.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive timely and appropriate guidance.

• Educate patients and their families on understanding trauma responses and coping mechanisms while guiding them to available resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will serve at El Gloria Counseling Center are largely individuals who have experienced varying levels of trauma, including clinical PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This role requires a therapeutic approach that not only understands the psychological impact of trauma but also tailors interventions to empower patients in their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State is essential.

• Strong background in trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building strategies is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
