Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma history and determine tailored treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering resilience and facilitating trauma recovery, employing the latest evidence-based modalities.

• Utilize therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to aid clients in processing their experiences.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in developing coping strategies and providing a supportive environment for healing.

• Active collaboration with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, integrated care for our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating responsiveness and compassion.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, while also informing them of available resources for additional support.

• Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and confidential documentation adhering to legal and ethical standards, fostering trust and professional integrity.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice primarily serves individuals grappling with the effects of trauma. This includes but is not limited to adults facing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociation due to various life experiences. As a therapist, you will play a crucial role in guiding these individuals through their healing journeys, employing specialized interventions and therapeutic techniques tailored to their unique needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience with a focus on mental health counseling.
\n
• Extensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities is essential.

• Demonstrated expertise in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, displaying empathy and a non-judgmental approach in all interactions.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and competence in utilizing digital tools for telehealth.

Preferred Experience\n

A background specifically addressing trauma-focused therapy is highly valued, including hands-on experience in diverse therapeutic settings that prioritize trauma recovery. While a minimum of 2 years post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates demonstrating strong therapeutic skills and a readiness to learn will also be considered.
