Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing essential support for financial reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software.

Duties

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations for several bank accounts and credit card accounts
• Maintain outstanding checks status – research, track, resolve
• Prepare adjusting journal entries and assist with maintaining the general ledger
• Review and reconcile G/L accounts.
• Daily Credit Card Charge entry ensuring all proper documentation is in place
• Monthly Credit Card Charge tracking and Allocation regarding several attorneys.
• Provide support and back up for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Provide support and back up for the Accounting Manager which includes daily cash flow reconciliations, budgeting, tracking case settlements and any other tasks needed.
• Assist with year-end financial statement preparation for entities.
• Any other accounting related duties that may require assistance

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounting experience, preferably in a professional services environment
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Bank Reconciliation
• Understanding of financial reporting and general accounting principles
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Must be able to prepare journal entries and reclassifications
• Strong supervisory skills and take-charge mentality
• Strong knowledge of financial concepts including debits, credits, tax regulations, and technical accounting standards
