Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide crisis intervention services when students are in acute distress, including risk assessments and safety planning to ensure their wellbeing.

• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school administration to coordinate services, advocate for student needs, and promote mental health awareness within the school community.

• Engage in community outreach initiatives to expand awareness of the resources available through Focused Mind Counseling and reduce the stigma associated with mental health.

• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and continuous professional development sessions to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on students in grades K-12 who face a variety of challenges that impact their educational performance. These may include socio-economic hardships, domestic instability, mental health issues, or experiences of trauma. You will work to help mitigate these challenges, fostering resilience and empowering students to succeed both academically and personally.

Qualifications\n

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Georgia.
