Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Home Care Specialist

Work Environment

This position is located onsite, within the home care setting, enabling you to interact closely with patients in their own environments. Home care provides a comfortable setting for patients, allowing them to receive treatment without the stress of traveling. You'll work collaboratively with other healthcare providers and assist in enhancing recovery processes while maintaining a focus on personalized patient interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, identifying specific needs and crafting individualized treatment plans that address both immediate and long-term rehabilitation goals.
• Implement and oversee therapeutic techniques and interventions, utilizing manual therapy, exercise programs, and advanced modalities to optimize patient outcomes.
• Engage in clinical teaching, guiding and mentoring physical therapy students and interns to foster their professional development.
• Prepare and present informative in-service sessions at least annually to educate your peers on the latest practices and research in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Collaborate with management to initiate and participate in clinical research projects that align with your expertise, contributing to advancements in the field and improving patient care methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients dealing with orthopedic issues through all stages of their rehabilitation journey. This includes post-surgical recovery, injury rehabilitation, and ongoing management of chronic conditions. Our patient demographic features a diverse range of individuals, including athletes, active adults, and seniors, all seeking to regain their strength and functionality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active New Jersey State Physical Therapy license is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills , with an emphasis on compassion and understanding.
• Proficient in evidence-based practice methodologies and the ability to tailor treatment plans based on individual patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly preferred.
• Experience with specific rehabilitation tools and modalities such as ultrasound therapy, electrical stimulation, and biomechanical assessment tools.
• A background in working within a multidisciplinary health care team to enhance treatment outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 110,000 to 130,000 , commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
