Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary assessments through virtual consultations, documenting client histories from the initial evaluation through to treatment completion.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health, utilizing evidence-based assessments to determine their specific needs.
\n
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on clinical evaluations and client input.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, incorporating different therapeutic modalities as appropriate for the client’s needs.
\n
• Continuously monitor and assess client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

• Manage referrals to other specialists and support services, ensuring clients receive holistic care that addresses all aspects of their mental health.

• Identify behaviors that may hinder recovery and collaborate with family members and primary caregivers to implement effective strategies to manage these challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on serving a diverse array of clients seeking help for mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. Many clients may also be dealing with co-occurring substance use issues or chronic physical health conditions, underscoring the importance of a comprehensive, integrated approach to care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience providing mental health counseling in a clinical setting.

• Skillful use of electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, ensuring thorough documentation and compliance with all regulatory guidelines.

• Prior experience managing clients with diverse mental health disorders, addiction challenges, or complex co-morbid conditions.

• A strong understanding of the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
