Stay Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team in Paterson, New Jersey. Work Environment

The role of Physical Therapist is onsite at our vibrant rehabilitation center, which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and evidence-based resources. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive treatment plans. Your typical workweek will include Monday to Friday from 2 PM to 8 PM, providing a consistent schedule that allows for meaningful interactions with patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, utilizing diagnostic tools and patient interviews to determine individual needs and conditions.
• Develop and implement tailored care plans that focus on patient engagement, realistic goal-setting, and continuous monitoring of progress, in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Deliver high-quality therapeutic treatments to patients, ensuring adherence to ethical and professional standards of practice.
• Provide hands-on therapy using various techniques to enhance mobility and function, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, injury prevention, and the use of assistive devices to promote independence in their daily activities.
• Prioritize patient caseloads effectively, coordinating staffing needs and managing hand-offs between team members to ensure optimal care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and stay up-to-date with industry best practices and treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient population will include a diverse group, with conditions ranging from post-surgery rehabilitation to chronic pain management. You will engage with both adult and pediatric patients, crafting personalized approaches to therapy that cater to the unique requirements of each individual. Your expertise in physical therapy will directly affect patient outcomes, enhancing their quality of life through recovery and functional improvement.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, with an expectation to obtain this within the first 30 days of employment.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to provide compassionate care to patients.

Preferred Experience

• While no prior experience is required, previous clinical rotations or internships in rehabilitative settings are highly desirable.
