Mountain Park Pulmonology PC is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Cardiology at our Center for Advanced Cardiac Care (CACC) located in Haverstraw, New York. In this key role, you will provide exemplary care to our patients with cardiovascular conditions and work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality services in an outpatient setting. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 160,000 annually.

Work Environment

This position is onsite at our hospital facility in Haverstraw, where you will work Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no on-call responsibilities, nights, or weekends. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to support cardiology services, including diagnostic imaging, electrophysiology labs, and stress testing equipment. The multidisciplinary care team consists of cardiologists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and various allied health professionals, fostering a supportive and engaging work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cardiologists and NP peers to manage outpatient care for patients presenting with hypertension, high cholesterol, and other chronic conditions.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, performing comprehensive histories and physical examinations to inform treatment plans.
• Provide independent outpatient Electrophysiology services and manage patients exhibiting arrhythmias, device management, and abnormal electrocardiograms.
• Diagnose and treat acute cardiac conditions, including but not limited to Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and Stroke/Transient Ischemic Attack.
• Order and interpret stress testing and other diagnostic studies, ensuring timely and accurate results from the initiation to follow-up care.
• Prescribe medications as indicated and follow evidence-based guidelines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Engage in patient education, empowering individuals and families with knowledge about their conditions and treatment options.
• Make referrals to specialized care within the practice as necessary.
• Receive mentorship and supervision from on-site cardiologists, contributing to professional growth and learning.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adult patients presenting with a variety of cardiac conditions. This position requires an understanding of the complexities of cardiovascular health and the ability to communicate effectively with patients about their health and treatment regimens. The diverse demographic of Haverstraw and surrounding areas offers an opportunity to impact a wide range of patients, from those requiring preventative care to advanced cardiac interventions.

Qualifications

• A valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New York State.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing; a Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing or a related field is essential.
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and successful completion of the appropriate certification exam.
• Strong clinical skills in cardiology, with a focus on outpatient care.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a cardiology setting (inpatient or outpatient) is preferred but not required, as we welcome both seasoned practitioners and new graduates.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team and manage a caseload effectively.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems to document and track patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
