Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for new clients to evaluate mental health status and treatment needs.

• Create person-centered treatment plans that align with best practices in mental health care and client goals.

• Document all clinical notes and submit required paperwork within 48 hours of service completion, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Provide after-hours emergency support according to established protocols, ensuring clients receive timely assistance when needed.

• Participate actively in program meetings, including clinical supervision and team gatherings, to discuss cases and enhance service delivery.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based psychotherapy techniques to address a variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse.

• Collaborate with inter-agency program providers to facilitate a holistic approach to client care.
\n
• Prepare thorough discharge summaries to outline treatment progress and future recommendations for ongoing care.
\n
• Provide therapeutic services to clients through individual, family, or group modalities to suit their unique circumstances and preferences.

• Coordinate with referral sources to track and discuss client progress, ensuring a seamless transition to additional services when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Inner Refuge, you will primarily work with adults and teenagers facing a wide array of mental health challenges. Your role will involve providing psychological support tailored to individual circumstances, empowering clients to navigate their struggles related to mental health conditions, trauma, and life adjustments. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in a human services-related field, such as social work, counseling, or psychology.

• Active licensure in the District of Columbia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).

• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is essential; willingness to receive training will be considered.

Compensation and Benefits\n
