Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments through preliminary interviews to document client history and mental health status.

• Evaluate clients' psychological, behavioral, and emotional needs to formulate personalized treatment plans.

• Design and implement detailed intervention and recovery strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual therapy sessions and leading insightful group therapy discussions.

• Monitor and track client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to promote optimal recovery.

• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Follow up with care plans for clients transitioning between care settings, particularly in cases involving acute hospitalization.

• Educate and support family members in understanding and managing mental health challenges.

• Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation and reporting, ensuring adherence to confidentiality standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will predominantly focus on clients dealing with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. You will engage with both adult and adolescent populations, adapting your approaches to meet their unique needs. By providing empathetic and professional care, you will contribute significantly to clients’ recovery journeys, promoting resilience and mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• Pass the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating strong clinical skills.

• Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems; familiarity with AVATAR is preferred.

• Strong understanding of psychological disorders and knowledge of recovery approaches and evidence-based practices.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a capacity for compassion and understanding.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with diverse populations and individuals coping with addiction disorders or other co-occurring conditions.
