Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting thorough initial consultations and ongoing assessments of clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health.
\n
• Documenting case progress comprehensively from the initial interview through to treatment completion.
\n
• Creating and implementing intervention and recovery plans tailored to individuals, couples, families, and groups based on detailed evaluations.
\n
• Facilitating engaging and productive individual and group therapy sessions that empower clients to achieve their mental health goals.
\n
• Monitoring and documenting client progress consistently throughout the course of treatment, making necessary adjustments to the care plan as required.
\n
• Working collaboratively with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure cohesive treatment approaches.
\n
• Following up with healthcare practitioners regarding clients who are admitted to hospitals, ensuring continuity of care.
\n
• Identifying behaviors that may hinder recovery and actively working to mitigate these through targeted interventions.

• Supporting family members and primary caregivers to address and manage challenges associated with mental health issues.

Qualifications\n

• Education: A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Licensure: Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• Exam Requirement: Passed the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Work Experience: Proven experience working as a mental health counselor in various settings.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, is advantageous.

• Experience in working with clients facing co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and guidelines.

• Solid understanding of the pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical professionals and their implications for mental health.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, along with strong interpersonal abilities that foster a supportive environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive yearly salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, coupled with a generous sign-on bonus to welcome you into our team.
