Work Environment\n

This full-time position will primarily be conducted in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining connection with our outpatient facility. Therapists will have the opportunity to work from their chosen environments while actively participating in a collaborative team model. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments that carefully evaluate patients' histories and identify tailored treatment strategies.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans focused on fostering recovery from trauma and building resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective healing experiences.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, assisting patients in processing traumatic experiences, enhancing coping mechanisms, and encouraging a pathway to healing.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated patient care and comprehensive treatment delivery.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and access to necessary resources.

• Educate patients and families regarding trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources to promote informed decision-making.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards to support continuity of care.

• Engage in ongoing professional development, case consultations, and remain updated with contemporary research and best practices related to trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our facilities cater to a diverse patient population, predominantly consisting of individuals grappling with trauma-related conditions. Therapists will address the needs of individuals suffering from trauma as well as their families, ensuring a holistic healing environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure in the state of New Jersey as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW, enabling practice in trauma-informed care.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, demonstrating competence in therapeutic modalities relevant to trauma care.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and strategies for building resilience within patients.

• Proficient in trauma-focused therapies and interventions, with experience delivering effective therapeutic outcomes.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills combined with a compassionate, non-judgmental counseling approach.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, fostering a safe environment for patients.

• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications that support clinical documentation.

• A collaborative mindset, thriving as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team dedicated to improving patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of post-licensure experience is desired, candidates with extensive experience in trauma therapy, including techniques like EMDR and TF-CBT will be highly valued. Familiarity with current research on trauma and best practices is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 104,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
