Work Environment The Licensed Mental Health Counselor position is entirely remote, allowing you to deliver care from the comfort of your own home while contributing to our community-oriented clinic. You will engage in virtual sessions with clients using secure telehealth platforms, ensuring that you maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and care. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate their mental health status, including reviewing their history and current challenges. Develop customized treatment plans that address each client's unique needs, leveraging evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities. Facilitate regular one-on-one therapy sessions, applying a range of therapeutic techniques to support clients in overcoming their mental health issues. Implement group therapy sessions focused on building community support and enhancing interpersonal skills among participants. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and medical doctors, to coordinate comprehensive care for patients. Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems to track client progress and treatment outcomes. Participate in regular supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices. Patient Population / Client Focus You will primarily work with individuals experiencing a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, eating disorders, and more. Our client population is diverse, inclusive of various ages, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences. As a compassionate practitioner, you will be expected to deliver culturally competent care and remain sensitive to the unique dynamics and challenges faced by each individual. Qualifications A Master’s or doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution. A current and valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey. A minimum of four years of relevant experience in mental health counseling or related fields. Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment methodologies, alongside cultural competence in delivering therapy. Proficiency in virtual counseling via telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Preferred Experience Experience providing both individual and group therapy, particularly using culturally responsive and inclusive approaches. Demonstrated crisis intervention skills with the ability to maintain composure in challenging situations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, highlighting a proven ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this full-time position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
