Work Environment

The position operates on-site at our fully equipped rehabilitation center located in Metuchen, NJ. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration and the opportunity to focus deeply on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing individualized physical therapy treatment plans that align with patients' specific rehabilitation goals.
• Managing a caseload of patients effectively while ensuring personalized attention and quality outcomes.
• Utilizing your expertise in orthopedic outpatient care to design and implement cost-effective therapeutic interventions that improve patient mobility and function.
• Prioritizing non-surgical rehabilitation options to minimize the need for surgical interventions and medications.
• Developing comprehensive care plans utilizing diverse therapeutic modalities tailored to each patient's unique situation.
• Creating customized fitness and wellness programs that support patients' recovery and long-term health goals.
• Applying evidence-based practices to enhance treatment efficacy and patient satisfaction.
• Providing ongoing encouragement and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Conducting thorough evaluations to assess patient progress and treatment outcomes regularly.
• Maintaining meticulous documentation practices to ensure accurate and complete patient records, following all regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their musculoskeletal system. Your role will be crucial in guiding these patients through tailored rehabilitation plans that support their particular recovery needs, enabling them to regain strength and range of motion while focusing on their overall wellness.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position should possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapy license in New Jersey with no history of sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Proven expertise in orthopedic outpatient care and various advanced manual therapy techniques.
• Strong ability to create effective exercise programs suited to individual patients' conditions and needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably Web PT, for accurate documentation and patient tracking.
• A commitment to staying updated on the latest developments and evidence-based practices in the field of physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable, as is any specialized training in manual therapy or sports rehabilitation. Candidates with expertise in utilizing contemporary physical therapy modalities and rehabilitation technologies will stand out in the application process.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skill level.
