Work Environment\n

This position is 100% remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a focused and efficient work setting. As part of a community health clinic, you will engage with a range of professionals in a supportive and innovative atmosphere. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient demands. The fully remote nature of the role enables you to maintain work-life balance while contributing to a meaningful cause.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, identifying their specific needs and challenges.

• Formulate and execute tailored treatment plans that are developmentally appropriate and consider the unique dynamics of each family.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address a spectrum of mental health issues, ensuring the application of best practices in your interventions.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, guiding parents and caregivers on how to foster supportive environments for their children.

• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and mental health professionals to provide an integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies involving young patients.

• Educate families about mental health conditions, treatment possibilities, and resources within the community.

• Ensure meticulous and confidential documentation of all patient interactions in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance collaborative care delivery.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health methodologies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited university.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and a range of evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with a child-centered, empathetic approach to therapy.
\n
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain patient documentation effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting working with children and adolescents is strongly preferred.

• Prior experience in delivering individual and family therapy, specifically tailored to younger demographics.

• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with patients, fostering trust and promoting a therapeutic alliance.

• Knowledge of community resources pertinent to child and adolescent mental health.
