Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, utilizing standardized tools to evaluate the emotional and psychological needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with each patient's developmental stage and family context.

• Offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at strengthening family dynamics and fostering a supportive home environment.

• Work closely with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, sharing insights and strategic plans during team meetings.

• Provide crisis intervention strategies and immediate support during mental health emergencies, equipping families with the necessary tools to address sudden challenges.

• Educate patients and their caregivers about relevant mental health issues and available community resources to ensure they are fully supported throughout their treatment journey.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans per HIPAA and organizational guidelines.

• Participate proactively in professional development activities, such as workshops and continuing education, to stay updated on the latest advancements in child and adolescent mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in New York state.

• A strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and family dynamics.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach toward children and their families.

• Proficient in electronic health record systems and relevant software applications, enabling efficient documentation and care coordination.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
