As a therapist at Intercare, you will primarily work in a remote setting, which allows you to maintain a flexible work-life balance while making a significant impact in the community. While the majority of your sessions will be conducted virtually, you will also utilize our comfortable office for in-person meetings with clients who prefer face-to-face interaction. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and psychological evaluations to understand clients' mental health needs effectively.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to each client's unique challenges.

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches.

• Respond to crisis situations, providing immediate support and intervention for clients in acute distress while ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Participate in ongoing supervision and team meetings to enhance professional development and improve service delivery.

• Engage with the community through outreach programs aimed at increasing mental health literacy and reducing stigma.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients come from various walks of life, reflecting the rich cultural diversity of San Francisco. You will work with individuals, families, and groups facing an array of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. This role allows you to work effectively with clients from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, which will enhance your clinical skills and cultural competence.

Qualifications\n

• Possess an independent and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• Hold a master's degree or a doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating rapport building and therapeutic relationships with clients.

• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness in working with diverse populations, tailoring interactions to meet individual needs.

• Possess strong organizational skills, ensuring timely documentation and compliance with clinical standards.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in community mental health settings or with varied client populations is highly desirable.

• Prior involvement in crisis intervention, group therapy, or community outreach initiatives will be advantageous.

• Knowledge of telehealth practices and tools, as well as proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, is preferred.
