Work Environment

As a full-time Physical Therapist, you will work onsite in the homes of patients across Alexandria, Virginia. The role requires direct interaction with clients in their comfortable environments, allowing you to assess individual needs and recommend tailored interventions. Key Responsibilities

• Implement direct physical therapy interventions that adhere to prescribed care plans, focusing on disability prevention, pain alleviation, and muscle function optimization.
• Oversee the activities of Physical Therapy Assistants, providing guidance and supervision to ensure precise implementation of care strategies.
• Utilize diagnostic tests for evaluating client functional levels, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of muscle, nerve, joint, and functional performance.
• Assess home settings and recommend modifications to enhance client independence during rehabilitation efforts.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic exercises, including manual and non-manual techniques, to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Provide specialized services such as traction, massage, and treatments involving physical agents, ensuring innovative care practices.
• Evaluate and adjust the use of prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with physicians for necessary modifications.
• Participate in the development and continuous review of comprehensive care plans, integrating observations into strategic treatment adjustments.
• Keep detailed records of clinical evaluations, progress notes, and treatment summaries, including OASIS documentation as required.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team case conferences, actively contributing to comprehensive patient treatment plans and evaluations.
• Educate clients and their families on physical therapy practices, equipment use, and ongoing wellness programs.
• Maintain a supportive atmosphere for Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Stay available to assist and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants during client treatments.
• Conduct on-site functional assessments, considering community resources to better tailor care according to client needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, chronic pain conditions, and various mobility impairments. As a Physical Therapist at Pinnacle Flex, you will primarily work with adult patients managing conditions such as post-operative rehabilitation, arthritic complications, and sports-related injuries. Your expertise will significantly impact their recovery journey, enhancing both their physical health and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience, ideally within acute care or home health environments.
• Current, in-good-standing licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Certificate in CPR and First Aid.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance are required.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience.
