Work Environment

The successful candidate will be based onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in Fort Lee, NJ. You will experience a dynamic and supportive work environment that fosters collaboration and innovation. Our facility is equipped with modern therapeutic equipment and dedicated spaces for individualized patient care. Your schedule will generally be Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while making a meaningful contribution to our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical assessments to evaluate patient needs and develop comprehensive therapy plans.
• Design and implement tailored therapeutic programs aimed at improving mobility, relieving pain, enhancing balance, and overcoming functional limitations.
• Administer hands-on treatments, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and strategies for fall prevention.
• Support patients in regaining and maintaining independence in day-to-day activities through targeted rehabilitation efforts.
• Educate patients, their families, and facility staff on best practices for exercises, care strategies, and overall wellness techniques.
• Document patient progress diligently, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and that continuity of care is maintained.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff, caregivers, and other therapy professionals to ensure holistic, coordinated care for every patient.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and communicate significant changes in patient conditions to physicians and family members.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves a diverse demographic, including patients recovering from surgery, those with chronic conditions, and individuals in need of rehabilitation following acute injuries. You will be especially engaged with elderly patients, maximizing their functional capabilities and enhancing their independence and confidence.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey is a must.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher from an accredited program is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with a demonstrated track record of providing excellent patient care.
• Strong clinical knowledge complemented by exceptional communication skills, adaptability, and teamwork.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred. Additional certifications in geriatrics or neurological rehabilitation will be considered advantageous.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, though the role is primarily onsite within the rehabilitation center.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in geriatric or assisted living populations is highly desirable.
• Exposure to a variety of rehabilitation methodologies and therapeutic routines that enhance patient recovery is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is competitive, reflecting your experience and qualifications, and falls between $90,000 and $100,000 annually.
