Work Environment

As an onsite Physical Therapist at Rethink Counseling Center, you will work within a modern rehabilitation facility equipped with the latest therapeutic tools and technologies. You will find that our operational hours are structured from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a well-balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients upon their initial visits, assessing their physical capabilities and limitations to devise tailored treatment plans.
• Establish clear and measurable treatment goals, as well as develop comprehensive therapy protocols that maximize patient recovery.
• Deliver evidence-based, goal-directed physical therapy to patients using advanced therapeutic modalities and techniques to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with the New Jersey State Practice Act and adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Engage in regular collaboration with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on each patient's evolving needs and responses to therapy.
• Participate in practice meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the center.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, each presenting unique challenges. You will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in orthopedic physical rehabilitation, understanding the specific nuances associated with various age groups. Your ability to effectively assess and communicate with patients across age ranges is integral to establishing tailored therapy plans that address individual needs.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience delivering physical therapy services, with a strong focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Comprehensive understanding of age-specific considerations in care planning and delivery.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

While our minimum requirement is two years of experience, candidates with advanced certifications in specialized therapy areas or prior experience in a rehabilitation center setting will be viewed favorably.

Compensation and Benefits
