Work Environment

Located in the heart of Waldwick, our rehabilitation facility boasts a positive and dynamic atmosphere. As part of our onsite team, you will collaborate with a diverse group of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, nursing staff, and administrative personnel. Our regular working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for work-life balance while you devote your expertise to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical capabilities, identifying their individual needs and limitations to formulate personalized treatment plans fully tailored to their rehabilitation goals.
• Hands-On Therapy: Administer various therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques and exercise regimens, aimed at enhancing mobility and facilitating functional independence.
• Empower Residents: Educate residents and their families on rehabilitation strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery and promoting long-term health and wellness.
• Record-Keeping: Partner with our team to maintain detailed documentation of care plans, progress notes, and treatment outcomes using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, ensuring clarity and compliance with regulations.
• Stay Informed: Stay current with evolving evidence-based practices in physical therapy and incorporate the latest methodologies into your treatment protocols, ensuring optimal patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our residents consist predominantly of older adults who require rehabilitation following surgery, injury, or illness. Your role as a Physical Therapist will include working closely with these individuals to address conditions ranging from post-operative recovery to chronic pain management, helping to restore their independence and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current New Jersey State Physical Therapist License in good standing.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is preferred; however, new graduates who exhibit strong competencies and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a commitment to a patient-centered approach.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records software (e.g., WebPT) is considered an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience in a rehabilitation or assisted living environment.
• Knowledge of current physical therapy methodologies and a history of contributing to research or clinical outcomes is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 100,000 annually .
