Work Environment

This role will be performed onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Facility located in the vibrant city of Saint Petersburg, Florida. Key Responsibilities

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

• Conducting thorough examinations and evaluations of patients presenting with orthopedic conditions.
• Developing individualized treatment plans aimed at addressing functional limitations and disabilities.
• Providing consultations and recommendations to healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive continuum of care for each patient.
• Engaging with patients of various ages and backgrounds in a manner that reflects our commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Implementing treatment plans that involve ongoing assessment, patient education, and adapting therapies based on patient progress.
• Documenting treatment outcomes and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of professionals, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to optimize patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Orthopedic Physical Therapist will work with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Patients range from young athletes to older adults, all of whom benefit from tailored interventions designed to facilitate rehabilitation and enhance mobility.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapist (DPT) as required by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a rehabilitation setting.
• Current CPR certification to ensure safety and emergency preparedness.

Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with experience in orthopedic rehabilitation settings and a background in using advanced therapeutic modalities will be highly regarded. Familiarity with the latest evidence-based practices in physical therapy is a plus.
