Work Environment

This full-time position requires you to work onsite in a fast-paced, collaborative urgent care setting. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, with shifts beginning at 5:00 PM, amounting to a 40-hour work week. This role captures the essence of providing immediate healthcare solutions, where you will work alongside a talented and multidisciplinary healthcare team dedicated to both patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient examinations and meticulously review medical histories to ensure accurate diagnoses.
• Order and expertly interpret diagnostic tests, including but not limited to lab tests and imaging studies, to inform treatment strategies.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of urgent health conditions, formulating tailored treatment protocols that reflect best practices.
• Formulate and implement treatment plans for patients with chronic illnesses, advocating for their long-term health and well-being.
• Prescribe medications as necessary, emphasizing efficacy while continuously monitoring patient responses to therapy.
• Maintain precise and well-organized patient documentation to facilitate ongoing care and case reviews.
• Educate patients and their families on health management strategies, risk factors, and preventive health measures, fostering community awareness.
• Promote a culture of wellness, encouraging patients to embrace healthy lifestyle choices as part of their care journey.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, contributing to the advancement of care protocols within our urgent care setting.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse range of patients, from children to adults, encountering various urgent health issues, including minor injuries, acute infections, and episodic illnesses. This role emphasizes providing timely, responsive care to ensure that all patients experience relief and recovery in a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required.
• A minimum of two years of experience working as a Physician Assistant in fast-paced clinical, emergency room, or urgent care environments.
• Current and valid certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) in New York State, and DEA number is essential.
• Strong knowledge of health regulations, exemplary communication skills, and proven ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical patient-centered care, alongside the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Resilience under pressure, characterized by patience and a calm demeanor in urgent scenarios is essential.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in urgent care, emergency room, or primary care settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems to maintain patient records efficiently.
• Bilingual communication skills are a plus but not required, enhancing our ability to serve a broader community.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000, which is commensurate with experience.
