Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and mental conditions through comprehensive physical examinations and detailed medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results to formulate appropriate management plans based on individual patient needs.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans aligned with evidence-based practices while considering safety, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop personalized treatment protocols in coordination with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary team members, continually evaluating treatment effectiveness.
• Provide patient and family education on disease management, medication regimens, nutrition, and health promotion, addressing any concerns regarding interactions with over-the-counter products.
• Maintain accurate medical records as per legal and institutional guidelines, ensuring detailed documentation of patient responses and treatment outcomes.
• Deliver specialized consultation services tailored to cardiac health issues and manage patients in various healthcare settings, including inpatient and emergency services.
• Perform necessary invasive procedures within your scope of practice, as delegated by supervising physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Participate in an on-call schedule to provide timely care and address acute patient needs, which may require going beyond standard hours to meet department demands.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of this role is primarily on adult cardiology patients, many of whom present with complex conditions requiring keen analytical skills and comprehensive management plans. You will be tasked with addressing the unique needs of patients suffering from various cardiological issues, from hypertension to heart failure, and will work in conjunction with specialists to ensure a holistic approach to their care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required.
• A Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies is preferred.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York state is essential.
• Delegated prescriptive authority from a recognized medical board, as well as credentialing by Medicare and Medicaid.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and patient engagement.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
