Work Environment

The rehabilitation facility in Richmond is designed to foster patient-centered care and collaboration among clinicians. Your schedule will typically consist of Monday through Friday, with 40-hour work weeks, producing a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop, and implement appropriate treatment programs tailored to patients referred by physicians.
• Provide effective treatment strategies for diverse patient demographics, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine clients.
• Demonstrate exemplary customer service to enhance patient experiences and contribute to our facility's overall success.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care outcomes through evidence-based approaches.
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions within the patients' homes when required, closely aligning with the outlined physician treatment plans.
• Educate and train patients and their caregivers on rehabilitation protocols and techniques to facilitate successful recovery.
• Achieve minimum utilization goals while actively supporting the business's overall operations and objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

We treat patients recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or seeking rehabilitation following injuries. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring effective interactions with patients and colleagues.
• Proficient in word processing and basic computer operations.
• A commitment to building meaningful relationships with patients to support their functional goals.
• A genuine desire to engage positively with individuals and the community.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly desirable.
• State License approved specifically for DPT by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• At least two years of hands-on experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Current CPR certification to ensure safety and preparedness in all situations.
