Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs based on their diagnoses and treatment goals.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate diverse therapeutic techniques such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, modalities, and patient education.
• Provide regular updates on patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to maximize recovery and improve functional outcomes.
• Document patient responses and progress accurately and timely within our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to optimize patient care.
• Train patients and their families in self-care strategies and the proper use of assistive devices, ensuring safety and independence.
• Participate in professional development activities, such as attending workshops and contributing to team training sessions, to remain at the forefront of physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population is varied, including individuals recovering from surgeries, managing chronic conditions, or rehabilitating from sports injuries. We prioritize a patient-centered approach, tailoring our services to meet the specific physical, emotional, and social needs of each client. Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to patients and families.
• Proficient in electronic documentation and have solid computer skills.
• A passion for patient care and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting is preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with specialized modalities, such as dry needling, sports rehabilitation, or geriatric therapy, will be considered an advantage.
