Experienced Physical Therapist for Sports Medicine Rehabilitation Center

Position Overview

Spring Mountain Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced physical therapist to join our team at our rehab facility located in Manassas, Virginia. In this full-time role, you will work directly with patients to help them restore motion, elevate their performance levels, and ultimately enhance their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Work Environment

Our rehabilitation facility is an onsite, state-of-the-art environment where our team collaborates efficiently to achieve the best patient outcomes. The center is equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and technology designed to facilitate a complete recovery process for our patients. You will work Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule while providing essential care during the week.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized therapy services by evaluating patients' unique needs and tailoring treatment plans accordingly.
• Maintain an appropriate patient caseload that allows for focused, attentive care and a meaningful therapeutic alliance.
• Apply orthopedic outpatient care practices to effectively manage a broad range of conditions presenting in patients.
• Utilize cost-effective and evidence-based interventions aimed at improving patients' mobility and functional capabilities.
• Promote non-surgical alternatives and educate patients on managing their conditions with minimal reliance on medications.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that integrate various treatment modalities and approaches based on individual assessments.
• Design personalized fitness and wellness programs that align with patients' specific health goals and lifestyles.
• Engage patients throughout their recovery journey to instill motivation and support adherence to treatment plans.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
• Continuously assess and document treatment effectiveness, adjusting approaches based on measurable patient progress.
• Maintain meticulous records using electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically Web PT, to document patient encounters and treatment protocols effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role, you will primarily work with outpatient clients, including athletes recovering from sports-related injuries, adults managing musculoskeletal conditions, and elderly patients seeking to improve their mobility and independence. Our diverse patient population ranges in age and background, allowing you to apply your skills across a breadth of rehabilitation challenges.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Must hold an active and clean Physical Therapist license in Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board-related issues.
• Demonstrated mastery of various manual therapy techniques and methodologies.
• Ability to design and implement effective therapeutic exercise programs tailored for diverse patient needs.
• Proficient in using EMR software for accurately documenting patient interactions and care.
• Extensive knowledge of current physical therapy techniques bolstered by ongoing research and professional development.

Preferred Experience

• Prior work experience in an outpatient clinic, particularly in a sports medicine or orthopedic-focused setting.
• Experience employing alternative treatment modalities that prioritize patient-centered care.
• Work history that demonstrates a commitment to professional growth and adaptation to evolving therapeutic practices.

Compensation and Benefits
