Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate clients’ needs, strengths, and treatment objectives.

• Diagnose and document mental health disorders while developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to address various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship problems.

• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans and interventions as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Engage with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure cohesive and holistic care for clients.

• Document all patient interactions accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements regarding confidentiality.

• Actively participate in advocacy efforts within the community to promote mental health awareness and access to services for underserved populations.

• Provide referrals to community resources that align with clients’ treatment goals and needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Addiction and Recovery Counseling, you will work with a diverse patient population, ranging from children and adolescents to adults and seniors. Many of our clients are facing the complexities of dual diagnoses, dealing with both mental health and substance use issues. Your expertise will contribute to their recovery by providing compassionate care tailored to their specific challenges, thereby enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York.

• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate empathy toward clients.

• Ability to make sound clinical evaluations and develop effective treatment plans based on individual client needs.

• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in outpatient mental health or addiction recovery settings is preferred.

• Experience facilitating both individual and group therapies.

• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Compensation and Benefits\n

Our organization offers a competitive salary range of USD 52,000 to 70,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload.
