Located in the vibrant city of San Jose, we emphasize individualized care in a warm and supportive environment. Our clinic features 5,000 square feet of specialized sports medicine space, equipped with advanced therapeutic tools to aid recovery and rehabilitation. Here, you will collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment pathways for our patients.

Work Environment

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at our onsite outpatient office, you will enjoy a collaborative and energizing workplace. Our team consists of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) who collectively uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional care. The environment is one where teamwork is pivotal, and your contributions will directly enhance the experiences and outcomes for our patients. This role operates primarily during regular business hours, Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations to design effective, individualized treatment plans.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions aimed at promoting recovery, including hands-on techniques and exercise-based rehabilitation.
• Maintain a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring focused and meaningful interactions with each patient.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) software such as WebPT for documentation and monitoring of patient progress.
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients to set achievable goals and provide motivation throughout their recovery journey.
• Evaluate treatment effects and modify intervention strategies based on ongoing assessments and patient feedback.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care, ensuring that the best practices are followed from diagnosis to rehabilitation.
• Encourage the promotion of healthy lifestyle choices, focusing on strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient base will primarily consist of individuals with private medical insurance, requiring specialized orthopedic care. These patients may be recovering from surgical procedures, injuries, sports-related ailments, or chronic conditions needing rehabilitation. Your interventions will be geared towards restoring their physical capabilities and enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Hold a valid California Physical Therapist license with no prior disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrate strong manual therapy skills and the ability to design effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Have proficiency in using EMR software, such as WebPT, ensuring efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient care is highly desirable.
• Experience in developing and executing rehabilitation programs for patients post-surgery or injury recovery.
• Background in sports medicine or knowledge of current physical therapy trends and best practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role is competitive, with an annual salary range of USD 90,000 – 110,000.
