About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified Locums Neurosurgery Physician to provide hospital-based inpatient coverage in Lima, Ohio. This opportunity involves adult and geriatric patients in a Level II Trauma Center with a broad range of complex cranial, trauma, and spinal cases.

Assignment Details

• Open Dates: September 24–October 5

• Setting: Hospital-based, inpatient

• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric

• Trauma Level: Level II

• Operating Rooms: 10

• Neurosurgeons in Practice: 1

• EMR: Epic

Responsibilities & Procedures

Provide comprehensive neurosurgical care, including adult trauma and complex cranial and spinal procedures.

Cranial & Trauma

• Traumatic brain injury and neurocritical care

• Intracranial hemorrhage and brain bleed management

• Clot removal

• Aneurysm repair

• Tumor removal

• Trauma repair

• Cranial burr holes

• Intracranial pressure monitor placement

• Ventricular taps and ventriculostomy

• Ventriculoperitoneal shunt insertion, revision, taps, and reprogramming

• Movement disorder procedures

• Deep brain stimulation (DBS)

• Stereotactic radiosurgery

Spine

• Diskectomy and laminectomy

• Spinal fusion

• Vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty

• Spine stabilization and reconstruction

Requirements

• Board Certified in Neurosurgery

• Active Ohio medical license

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
