Work Environment\n

The position operates remotely but remains integrated with our outpatient office structure. While you will conduct most sessions online, our team fosters close collaboration and communication to maintain a cohesive work culture. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility needed to meet patient scheduling requirements.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain insight into each patient’s background, experiences, and unique challenges, subsequently developing tailored treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, adapting techniques to fit individual patient profiles while considering their cultural identities and personal experiences.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that empower clients to navigate their mental health concerns, promoting resilience and fostering personal growth.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to treatment, coordinating referrals and resources as necessary.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, equipping patients with coping strategies and ensuring their safety.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and available treatment options, fostering a deeper understanding of resources accessible to them within their communities.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with all healthcare regulations.

• Actively engage in case conferences and team meetings to discuss cases and participate in ongoing cultural competency training sessions.

• Stay updated on current research, best practices in mental health therapy, and relevant cultural considerations, striving for continual improvement in service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on individuals who come from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and may have distinct mental health needs. Our clientele includes various ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants, offering our therapists the opportunity to practice culturally responsive care. You will be instrumental in helping these clients navigate and overcome various mental health challenges while fostering a supportive environment for their personal stories.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Must possess a current, valid state license as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies, with a keen focus on cultural competence in therapeutic practices.

• Experience providing individual and group therapy, utilizing inclusive approaches tailored to the needs of diverse populations.

• Proven crisis intervention abilities, with a calm, composed demeanor during challenging situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
