Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments using solution-focused interventions that inform personalized treatment plans tailored to each client.

• Implement therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address various mental health challenges.

• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation consistent with HIPAA standards to protect client privacy.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team, consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, and peers, to optimize client care and treatment outcomes.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment approaches, and available community resources to support their understanding and engagement in therapy.

• Continuously update your knowledge on clinical best practices and innovations in the mental health sector to provide the highest standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a therapist at Piedmont Care, you will primarily work with adult clients seeking support for a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, PTSD, and relationship challenges. You will be tasked with creating a therapeutic alliance that enables clients to feel safe, understood, and motivated to engage actively in their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated proficiency in solution-focused psychotherapy approaches, able to customize interventions that meet individual client needs.
