Work Environment\n

This position is a telehealth role, allowing you the flexibility to provide services from a remote setting. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. This setup is designed to help maintain a work-life balance while ensuring that our clients receive continuous, high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the specific needs and goals of clients entering substance use disorder treatment.

• Formulate personalized treatment plans that adhere to evidence-based therapeutic practices.

• Deliver one-on-one counseling sessions, employing techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to foster positive change.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions that encourage shared experiences and mutual support among clients on their recovery journey.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during substance-induced emergencies, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.

• Educate patients and their families about the complexities of addiction, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources.

• Ensure accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems optimized for telehealth workflows.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development sessions to enhance service delivery.

• Keep abreast of emerging research, best practices, and advancements in the treatment of substance use disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will focus on supporting individuals grappling with substance use disorders, including alcohol, opioids, and other drugs. Patients may range from those in early recovery to individuals seeking long-term support and relapse prevention strategies. You will work closely with diverse populations, fostering an inclusive environment that respects each client's unique background and challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• You must hold current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Strong understanding of substance use disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities are required.

• Experience in delivering individual and group therapy within the context of addiction treatment is essential.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are necessary, complemented by a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits\n
