Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify physical impairments and functional limitations, tailoring treatment plans accordingly.
• Utilize a variety of techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and advanced equipment, to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Create individualized treatment plans focused on achieving specific therapeutic goals that empower patients to regain their strength and independence.
• Regularly track and document patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
• Provide patients and their families with training on using assistive devices and self-care strategies to ensure optimal recovery.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops and participating in professional organizations to stay updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support comprehensive patient care, contributing to interdisciplinary treatment plans as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapists at Elixir Life Physical Therapy work with a diverse patient population, including children recovering from sports injuries, adults recovering from surgical procedures, and elderly patients managing chronic conditions. Each therapist is tasked with understanding the unique challenges faced by their patients and developing strategies to help them achieve optimal physical function.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid physical therapy license in the State of New Jersey.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation and word processing tools.
• A genuine passion for helping others and a flexible, patient-centered approach.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant physical therapy experience, although we are open to new graduates showing promise and eagerness to learn.
• Experience in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting is a plus.
