Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health status, needs, strengths, and weaknesses, ensuring a thorough understanding of their individual circumstances.

• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailored to each patient's unique treatment goals.

• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health professionals to ensure integrated and coordinated care.

• Educating patients and their families on mental health diagnoses, treatment options, and medication management to empower informed decision-making.

• Providing individual therapy, group therapy, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices.

• Creating detailed treatment plans alongside the treatment team, integrating patients' preferences and goals into their care pathway.

• Navigating patients through the complex mental health system, effectively advocating for their rights and needs while promoting autonomy and self-advocacy.

• Facilitating therapeutic groups and psychoeducation sessions, alongside participating in discharge planning meetings to ensure successful transitions to the next stages of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients engaged in our detox program, many of whom are experiencing acute challenges related to substance use. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Active state licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.
