Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at WeCare TLC Counseling Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering mindfulness-based interventions, including the facilitation of MBSR programs, to clients aiming to reduce stress and enhance their overall quality of life.

• Conducting thorough initial assessments to identify clients' unique stressors, challenges, and therapeutic goals, customizing mindfulness practices to meet their specific needs.

• Guiding clients through mindfulness exercises, meditation practices, and breathing techniques that promote self-awareness, emotional regulation, and stress reduction.

• Facilitating engaging group workshops and classes focused on mindfulness practices, resilience-building tactics, and effective stress management strategies.

• Integrating mindfulness principles into individual therapy sessions to address a range of mental health concerns, aiding clients in their journey toward personal growth.

• Collaborating with fellow therapists and healthcare professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate mindfulness and traditional therapeutic methods.

• Maintaining accurate documentation of client progress, mindfulness interventions, and treatment plans to ensure high-quality care and compliance with best practices.

• Engaging in regular personal mindfulness practice and actively pursuing professional development opportunities to deepen your expertise in MBSR and related fields.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LCMFT in the state of Kansas.

• Proficiency in integrating mindfulness practices into therapeutic sessions, with a demonstrated ability to create a calm and supportive environment for clients.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• Extensive training and expertise in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) practices, while formal certification in MBSR is not mandatory, relevant experience is highly valued.

• Experience working in outpatient mental health settings, conducting assessments, and providing therapy to clients with a range of mental health issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
