This role primarily operates in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility in delivering services to clients from the comfort of their own homes or through our outpatient community health clinic. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized therapy sessions in the home environment or group therapy sessions at our outpatient center. Tailor therapeutic approaches to meet the distinct needs of each child and their family.

• Implement evidence-based interventions focused on anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development to reduce high-risk behaviors and promote emotional regulation.

• Assist caregivers in building effective decision-making skills to address and manage behavioral challenges at home.
\n
• Actively collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, ensuring a cohesive approach to treatment that benefits the youth and their families.

• Complete and submit all required documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, within established deadlines to ensure continuity of care.

• Participate in monthly meetings, contributing insights and recommendations to improve our therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically addresses the needs of children aged 3 to 20 years who face developmental disabilities or intellectual challenges. You will work closely with a diverse cohort of families who may be navigating various social, emotional, and behavioral issues. Your personalized approach will help empower these families by developing tailored interventions that not only meet immediate needs but also foster long-term growth and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.

• Active and unrestricted LMFT license is required to practice in New Jersey.
\n
• A minimum availability of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm) with a willingness to offer weekend sessions as needed.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel to client homes or community engagement.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience providing positive behavior support, particularly in home and community-based settings.

• Experience working with children who display intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) is highly desirable.

• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a significant asset, enabling effective communication with a broader range of families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
