With flexible Monday to Friday work hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM), you will also have the opportunity to adjust your schedule to meet patient needs, ensuring a balanced work-life integration.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Kelington Behavioral Services, your responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds and treatment needs, establishing the foundation for effective care.

• Developing tailored treatment plans that focus on healing from trauma, resilience, and coping strategies.
\n
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions designed to assist patients in processing trauma and developing essential coping mechanisms.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for all patients.

• Offering crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, using your expertise to stabilize and guide patients through difficult moments.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, available resources, and effective coping mechanisms, fostering an environment of understanding and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working with a diverse clientele, primarily individuals dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By understanding the unique challenges they face, you will help them navigate their trauma recovery effectively.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications necessary for remote therapy.

Preferred Experience\n
