Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments of patients and their families, identifying emotional, social, and environmental components affecting their health and recovery.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based social work interventions to address identified patient needs.

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and addiction specialists, to ensure holistic care and engage patients and families in their care plans.

• Oversee the discharge planning process, ensuring smooth transitions from detox to ongoing care by partnering with external providers and arranging post-discharge services.

• Deliver education and counseling on coping strategies, addressing adaptation issues related to illness, detox, and recovery.

• Utilize crisis intervention techniques and facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, which may include brief interventions and long-term therapeutic approaches.

• Respond to after-hours calls as part of the on-call rotation, providing immediate support and intervention as required.

• Conduct clinical evaluations of oncology patients experiencing psychosocial distress and provide intervention strategies.

• Engage in professional development opportunities, presenting at educational conferences as an expert in psychosocial oncology practices.

• Contribute to community service initiatives through education, consultation, and research, aimed at enhancing resources for cancer survivors and the broader community.

The primary focus of this role is on patients undergoing detoxification who are often facing complex emotional, social, and health challenges. This includes both those new to recovery and individuals with a history of repeated detox experiences. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) credential.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
