Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including a thorough review of the patient's medical history, specialized assessments, and the development of evidence-based treatment plans that align with the patient's goals.
• Effectively communicate evaluation findings and treatment strategies to patients and their families, ensuring their involvement in setting attainable recovery goals.
• Implement individualized treatment protocols with proficiency, adapting approaches based on the patient's condition and feedback while considering the latest advancements in the healthcare environment.
• Consult with interdisciplinary teams as needed to optimize patient care, recognizing the importance of collaborative treatment plans and documenting any changes in patient condition.
• Conduct thorough discharge planning, ensuring continuity of care and accurately documenting patient progress through legible daily notes, interim updates, and comprehensive discharge evaluations.
• Maintain a productive schedule, exhibit effective time management skills, and consistently meet performance expectations, contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.
• Participate actively in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote the hand-in-hand relationship between physical therapy and community health.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to further enhance treatment practices and mentor physical therapy students in alignment with best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our orthopedic physical therapists primarily work with patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• State licensure as mandated in New Jersey to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required.
