Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand patients' unique backgrounds and experiences, leading to the development of tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, ensuring they align with clients’ cultural contexts and personal histories.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing mental health concerns while promoting resilience and overall well-being.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, ensuring that all aspects of patient health are addressed.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques to ensure patient safety.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, available resources, and treatment options to empower informed decision-making.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case conferences and team meetings, contributing insights on patient care and engaging in cultural competency training sessions.

• Stay abreast of the latest research, best practices, and evolving cultural considerations in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will serve a richly diverse patient population, focusing on those who may face barriers to mental health access due to cultural background, sexual orientation, or immigration status. Your work will be instrumental in addressing specific needs and challenges faced by various communities, thereby enhancing their mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LCMHC, or LCSW in the state of New York.
\n
• A deep understanding of mental health disorders and a sound knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy employing culturally responsive and inclusive methodologies.

• Strong crisis management skills, with an ability to remain composed under pressure.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating rapport building with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and applicable computer applications.

• A firm commitment to ethical practice, professional boundaries, and confidentiality at all times.

Compensation and Benefits\n
