This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to work remotely while actively engaging in the mental health support of our patients in Tucson, Arizona. Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate with primary care practitioners to identify, manage, and oversee mental health and psychological concerns, serving as an essential member of the healthcare team.

• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes, emphasizing diagnostic and functional evaluations, to inform treatment objectives and recommendations.

• Deliver targeted therapeutic solutions for individuals seeking mental health support.
\n
• Guide primary care providers on patient appropriateness for interventions and necessary referrals to specialized mental health services.

• Implement follow-up procedures to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
\n
• Assist in developing crisis prevention strategies while helping patients maintain stability.
\n
• Identify at-risk individuals and collaborate on programs aimed at preventing further decline of their mental health conditions.
\n
• Oversee the delivery of behavioral health services, ensuring connections with other healthcare providers to bolster comprehensive patient care.
\n
• Document patient progress and diagnostic information meticulously in treatment records while ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory compliance.

• Maintain communication with primary care physicians about patient needs, facilitating a coordinated treatment approach.

• Employ effective behavioral change strategies, supporting patients in making healthier lifestyle choices.

• Equip patients with self-management skills and educational materials, fostering active involvement in their treatment journeys.

• Consult with management and healthcare team members to evaluate program outcomes and improve service delivery.

• Support patients in adhering to medical treatments prescribed by primary care providers, including management of pharmaceutical side effects.

• Adhere strictly to the Code of Ethics for Clinical Professionals and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals facing various mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to complex relational and family dynamics. Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.

• Must hold a current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health assessment processes, treatment planning, developmental psychopathology, and therapies such as family therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

• While bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, it is not a requirement for application.

• Possess mental and physical capabilities to fulfill job responsibilities effectively.

• Familiarity with community resources and their effective utilization in mental health care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) or similar environments is a plus.

• Prior experience in providing counseling across various community settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
